Air Liquide transforms the Campus Technologies Grenoble dedicated to deep tech and energy transition. In the context of its renovation and expansion plan, the new Campus Technologies Grenoble, which gathers 1,200 employees, has just completed the construction of the first two buildings.

Together with the five Innovation Campuses in the Air Liquide group, this site is responsible for designing and manufacturing innovative high-tech solutions for the rising deep tech and energy transition markets. This transformation project is planned to be completed in 2022.

The Campus Technologies Grenoble site runs to 14 hectares, including 11,000 m2 of tertiary buildings and 20,000 m2 of production workshops, as well as a test area. As part of its renovation and expansion plan, the new Campus has just completed the construction of the first two buildings.

These new buildings, with a total area of approximately 6,000 m2, are part of a transformation at both architectural and industrial levels, supporting new ways of working by offering agility, flexibility, openness and transversality. The renovation of the entire Campus and its extension are ongoing and should be completed in 2022.

As part of a sustainable development approach, the Campus is aiming for BREEAM certification, a certification standard for the environmental assessment of buildings. These buildings are designed to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact.

They are equipped with wooden structures, large glazed sections that provide natural lighting, and a cooling system that uses the circulation of ground water instead of air conditioning.

With an open innovation approach, the Campus Technologies Grenoble is a place for interaction with local and international ecosystems.

The Campus Technologies Grenoble was founded in 1962 in Sassenage (Isère) and serves customers worldwide, particularly in the areas of aerospace, space, extreme cryogenics for scientific research and industry, and new energies such as hydrogen and biomethane.

Emilie Mouren-Renouard, Member of the Air Liquide Executive Committee, in charge of Innovation, Digital and IT, Intellectual Property and Global Markets & Technologies World Business Unit, said:

This new Campus offers a stimulating working environment for our employees, which is favorable to the development of talents.

“Like the other Air Liquide Innovation Campuses in Europe, the United States and Asia, it is widely open to the ecosystems which surround us. With this new Campus, we will be able to accelerate the design, the industrialization and the fabrication of technological solutions for our customers in the deep tech and energy transition markets, in line with our strong commitment to sustainable growth.”
