Aviation Industry Supplier Selects SMART TESTSOLUTIONS technology for cell voltage monitoring (CVM) on fuel cells.
For the first time, SMART TESTSOLUTIONS has secured a customer in the aviation industry for its technologies for fuel cell cell voltage monitoring. Furthermore, the development of a series CVM for vehicles has progressed to the next stage.
SMART TESTSOLUTIONS is well known in the eMobility sector for its systems for cell voltage monitoring (CVM) on fuel cells.
In 2020, the company developed its CVM G5S cell voltage monitoring system, this one has been optimized for use in vehicles, into a series solution for an important German automotive supplier.
This project is stepping into the next phase: the particularly adapted G5S modules are being thoroughly tested according to the applicable automotive standards, and they are being deployed in the first vehicles. For this purpose, different variants of the single-board solution with different numbers of channels are being developed too. The respective contracts have been signed and sealed.
The major company from the aviation industry is not quite as far along yet. The company uses cell voltage monitoring in the test bench for R&D purposes. In this area, SMART TESTSOLUTIONS provides the tried and tested CVM G5 product series.
CVM G5 is the fifth generation CVM modules and they can be used at ambient temperatures of up to 105 C, they are equipped with a wide-range input for the supply voltage of 4.5 to 32 volts. Thus, these can be operated directly from a 12 or 24 volt main supply.
