Axon Partners Group, via its ISETEC fund, has made a new strategic investment in Powercell AB, a leading Swedish company in fuel cell technology. This marks Axon’s first investment in Sweden and underscores its commitment to driving the global energy transition.
Founded in 2008 as a spin-off from the Volvo Group, Powercell AB leads the European market in hydrogen-powered electrification solutions. With over 15 years of experience, Powercell delivers innovative solutions that accelerate the transition to a sustainable, zero-emissions world. The company specializes in high-power-density systems, serving critical sectors such as aviation, maritime transport, off-road and on-road applications, and stationary power generation.
The investment in Powercell perfectly aligns with Axon’s thesis, which focuses on technologically sophisticated companies offering proven, efficient solutions in high-growth potential markets.
