Azerbaijan, Germany discuss gas supplies, cooperation in producing green hydrogen
BAKU. Nov 19 (Interfax) – German Vice Chancellor and Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action Robert Habeck discussed natural gas exports with Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov while visiting Baku on Monday.
Shahbazov wrote on his social account,
Together with my colleague, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, we were engaged in productive discussions with Germany’s Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Robert Habeck, on natural gas export, renewable energy cooperation and the involvement of German companies,
The meeting participants also explored opportunities for collaboration, including the use of the Caspian Sea’s considerable wind energy potential, the production of green hydrogen and its exports to European markets, and the development of infrastructure for green energy corridors, he said.
Shahbazov said,
These joint projects hold significant potential not only to advance the energy sector but also to strengthen the economic partnership between Azerbaijan and Germany,
