Azolla launches Canada’s first mobile hydrogen station

Azolla Hydrogen has officially launched operations of Canada’s first mobile hydrogen fueling station, marking a significant milestone for the country’s clean energy future.

The company’s AZ225 Biodrome unit began service last week at the City of Edmonton’s Fleet and Facility Services Ellerslie Facility, as part of the Alberta Zero Emissions Fleet Fuelling (AZEFF) initiative. Developed and manufactured in Alberta, the station represents a key advancement in the province’s hydrogen economy, bringing new energy solutions to public and commercial fleets while supporting local job creation and industrial innovation.

Jared Sayers, CEO of Azolla Hydrogen, said:

The growth of the hydrogen economy is the growth of Alberta’s economy.

“It opens the door to high-skilled jobs and long-term opportunities for tradespeople like welders, pipefitters, and electricians,”

A second mobile hydrogen station is expected to be operational at another Edmonton location in 2026, further expanding the province’s zero-emission fuelling network.
