Berlin Electrolyser Conference 2023 with strong technical focus on Alkaline, PEM, AEM, and SOEC.
Large-scale electrolysers are a key technological element of the hydrogen economy, but many challenges regarding their development, manufacturing and deployment are still ahead. On December 6th and 7th, the Berlin Electrolyser Conference will again take place to discuss a selection of the most important issues around the current status and future perspectives of industrial electrolyser technologies among experts from the technical, commercial and academic field.
Technical Presentations: Leading industry experts will share insights on the latest advancements in water electrolysis technologies for the production of green hydrogen, such as Alkaline, PEM, AEM, and SOEC. Technical presenations are confirmed by Denis Thomas (Accelera by Cummins), Carol Xiao (ISPT), Alejandro Barnett (Hystar), Sukanta Bhattacharyya (1s1 Energy), Peter Michael Holzapfel (Siemens), Jorge Aguerrevere Clements (Siemens), Oliver Teller (W. L. Gore & Associates), Alberto Bucci (Jolt), Stefan Klink (Topsoe), Thomas Gabler (H-TEC Systems), Javier Sánchez (CPT), Roxann Fitria West (Schneider Electric), Yashar Musayev (Siemens Energy), Tim Cholibois (Enapter), Tom Smolinka (Fraunhofer ISE), Paul Schneider (EWE), and Pieter Levecque (Battolyser Systems). The technical sessions will be chaired by Bruno G. Pollet (IAHE).
Panel Discussion: Roxann West (Schneider Electric) will host the panel “Charting the course: Navigating the roadblocks to scaling green hydrogen” and discuss with Alaa Faid (Equinor), Tiago Dias (PRF Gas Solutions) and Bruno G. Pollet (IAHE) the current situation and future perspectives of the industry.
Interactive Workshops: Two interactive workshop sessions will give participants the opportunity to intensively discuss important aspects around electrolysers. In the first workshop, Jordi Creus Casanovas and Jochen Loffler (both TNO) will lead an interactive discussion about the current status of AEM electrolysers and what to expect from this technology in terms of challenges, applications, and acceleration of development. The second workshop will be hosted by Hans van’t Noordende (Institute for Sustainable Process Technologies) to discuss safety aspects of green hydrogen production on industrial scale, including approaches for process safety, credible scenarios for explosions, as well as barriers and inherent safety designs.
Exhibition: W. L. Gore & Associates, Ames Goldsmith Ceimig, Schneider Electric, Siemens and Jolt Hydrogen Solutions are looking forward to welcome guests at their booth on site to discuss the latest technological innovations and commercial perspectives.
