Bulgaria – Hydrogenera to deliver hydrogen system to Volkswagen plant
December 9 (SeeNews) – Bulgarian hydrogen technologies developer Green Innovation, operating under the Hydrogenera brand, said that it will deliver and install a hydrogen system at German car manufacturer Volkswagen’s plant in Poznan, Poland.
The project involves the installation of a system including an electrolyser with a capacity of up to 90 kW, which will produce hydrogen and oxygen for optimisation of the combustion process in a gas burner with an average capacity of 1.5 MW, Hydrogenera [BUL:HYDR] said in a bourse filing last week, without disclosing the financial details of the deal.
The hydrogen system is expected to reduce the Poznan plant’s fuel consumption by up to 30%, mitigate carbon emissions and improve energy balance without changing the existing production systems.

Shares in Hydrogenera last traded on December 8, closing 1.54% higher at 19.80 levs ($11.8/10.1 euro) on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, bourse data showed.
