Castilla-La Mancha joins Hydrogen Europe and receives recognition for fund management from the Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms.
The President of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, held a meeting in Brussels with the European Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Elisa Ferreira, with whom he discussed the digital transition at the region and energy transition and who has received recognition in the management of funds from the Union. Likewise, the head of the regional Executive has received the act of adhesion of the Autonomous Community to Hydrogen Europe, the European hydrogen network.
García-Page has shown his satisfaction at the good reception of the commissioner, who has recognized that Castilla-La Mancha is one of the autonomous communities that has known how to spend European funds and this has been the case in different areas such as telecommunications and fiber optics .
In this regard, the head of the regional Executive has said that Ferreira herself has applauded the management of the regional Executive in spending funds, which are among the first to reallocate Spain.

We have gotten up early in the management of European funds and that has allowed us to spend more.
“All that money from Europe that the country is not able to spend, Castilla-La Mancha will do it”.
The President of Castilla-La Mancha, who has staged the adhesion of Castilla-La Mancha to the Hydrogen Europe network, has recognized that “it is very important for this Autonomous Community to be able to be in the select lobby of funds linked to green hydrogen” . In this same sense, he has highlighted that “hydrogen is a new energy that will bring new companies and, with it, employment”.
Emiliano García-Page has also met with the CEO of Hydrogen Europe, Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, whom he has taken advantage of to show the strengths of Castilla-La Mancha in hydrogen, and explain that this region is a national reference in this matter with the National Center del Hidrogen, the hydrogen cluster of Castilla-La Mancha and pointing out Puertollano (Ciudad Real) as a strategic center for this clean, sustainable fuel and with a zero pollution index from renewable energies.
Hydrogen Europe is the European hydrogen network, the main European organization in the sector and the most important consultative instrument of the European Commission in this field.
The head of the regional Executive was accompanied by the Vice President of the Board, José Luis Martínez Guijarro; the Minister of Sustainable Development, José Luis Escudero; the general director of European Affairs, Virginia Marco; MEP Cristina Maestre and the mayor of Puertollano (Ciudad Real), Adolfo Muñiz.
