Charbone Hydrogen advances green hydrogen storage infrastructure for flagship Quebec facility.

Charbone Hydrogen Corporation (TSX-V:CH, OTCQB:CHHYF) has revealed the completion of a vital storage component for green hydrogen.

The component is now prepared for transport to the company’s primary green hydrogen site in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, the company said in a statement.

The state-of-the-art storage tubes, engineered to manage significantly higher pressures, have been constructed by a renowned high-pressure tube manufacturer based in Littleton, Massachusetts.

Charbone said that the tubes are integral its strategy of enhancing storage capacity and optimizing transportation and delivery costs. The arrival of this equipment closely follows the company’s recent strategic priorities announcement, emphasizing its commitment to operationalizing the green hydrogen production facility by this summer.

Dave Gagnon, CEO of Charbone, said:

After years of intensive and hard work, Charbone is hitting another important milestone today with the delivery of this first component for our flagship Canadian project.

“Our unique approach to modular green hydrogen plant development allows us to move fast.”

Gagnon added that the firm is “just months away” from launching production.

The facility aims to gradually escalate production to approximately 200 kg per day upon reaching its initial full capacity. The project targets industrial applications, aiming to supplant gray hydrogen with a cleaner, renewable alternative derived from hydrogen produced through sustainable means.

Charbone said it is actively coordinating the arrival of additional production and storage equipment with the onsite construction schedule.

Established as an integrated green hydrogen group, Charbone is dedicated to building a network of modular green hydrogen production facilities across the continent. Leveraging renewable energy sources, the company aims to cater to industrial, institutional, commercial, and future mobility users with eco-friendly energy solutions.

Charbone’s plans include scaling up green hydrogen production facilities in both the United States and Canada by 2024, with an additional 14 facilities slated for deployment by 2030.
