Charbone Hydrogen supplies hydrogen to power Ontario productions
Charbone Hydrogen Corporation (TSX-V:CH, OTCQB:CHHYF) announced that it has begun selling ultra-high purity hydrogen in Ontario to support hydrogen fuel cell generators used by contractors serving the film and television production industry.
The company said the hydrogen is being supplied to enable on-set electricity generation for movie and television productions, replacing or supplementing traditional diesel-powered generators. The fuel cell systems are used to power production sets and related mobile infrastructure.
Charbone said the hydrogen supply is supported by its existing distribution and delivery logistics in Ontario, allowing it to provide fuel to production crews operating under tight schedules.
The company did not disclose the financial terms of the supply arrangement or the expected volumes.
The company described the initiative as an example of hydrogen being deployed in mobile and temporary power applications, where fuel cell generators can reduce emissions and noise compared with diesel-based equipment.
Charbone added that the sale aligns with its strategy to expand hydrogen use beyond conventional industrial markets.
Charbone CEO Dave Gagnon said in a statement,
