- AEG PS Products 2 x DC-3 and a transformer
- Service: advanced training, commissioning, and maintenance support
DEUTZ Spain has selected AEG Power Solutions to provide power supply and services for Ariema’s alkaline electrolyzer. This project is part of a collaboration between DEUTZ Spain, Ariema and AEM (Alternativas Energéticas Murcia – Spain) to build a pilot plant in Zafra, Spain, which will produce green hydrogen as a renewable fuel. The green hydrogen will power a new 150 kW generator equipped with new six-cylinder TCG 7.8 H2 engine developed by DEUTZ Spain and designed to be low-emission.
AEG Power Solutions will provide the power supply equipment for the project, including two DC-3 rectifier units and a dry type transformer. In addition, AEG Power Solutions’ service team will offer advanced training, commissioning, and maintenance support to DEUTZ Spain and project partners.
The AEG Power Solutions technology has been chosen for several key reasons. The DC-3 hybrid rectifier, efficient in partial loads from intermittent renewable energy, combines IGBT and thyristor technology for low harmonics, high power factor, grid compliance, and low current ripple, meeting electrolyzer manufacturers’ requirements.
Additionally, the customer recognized the extensive expertise of AEG Power Solutions team, underlined by a proven track record with numerous running references. AEG Power Solutions’ longstanding collaboration with Ariema also contributed to building trust in the partnership.
