Dura Vermeer will use hydrogen truck on projects.
Millenaar & Van Schaik and Jan Bakker are one of the first transport companies in the Netherlands to use heavy transport vehicles without harmful emissions. Dura Vermeer took delivery of one of the first three hydrogen trucks in its own company colours.
The trucks will appear on public roads from the end of September and will be used in various road construction projects in the Netherlands.
HYDROGEN
The trucks fill up with hydrogen and can drive approximately 520 kilometers in one refueling. The hydrogen is converted into electricity in the vehicle by a so-called fuel cell. The emissions contain only water vapour and there is no air pollution by substances such as carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides or particulate matter.
EMISSIONS AT 0
One of Dura Vermeer’s sustainability ambitions is “Emissions at 0”. For this reason, all projects work with electrical equipment, if available. In this way, we are working towards an emission-free construction site by 2025. The use of the new hydrogen truck is a great step in realizing this ambition.
