The European leading hydrogen fuel cell producer Proton Motor Fuel Cell GmbH (www.proton-motor.de) enables commercial vehicle manufacturers to implement climate-neutral fuel cell drives in the truck, bus, municipal and off-highway segments. The German company specialises in modular systems and uses graphitic bipolar plates, as only these meet the technical and commercial requirements of the applications. The company, which has been operating internationally since 1998, has established all areas of fuel cell development and production incl. assembly and testing at one location near Munich. With over a hundred employees and flexible structures, direct service is guaranteed by corporate maintenance teams within Europe. With the so-called “stack robot”, the cleantech specialist has a fully automatic fuel cell production system for series production.

In projects with an EU context, such as “REVIVE” for waste collection applications, Proton Motor successfully positioned itself together with the current client “E-Trucks Europe” from 2018 onwards. Since 2021, Proton Motor has been co-operating with “Lauer & Weiss” as a leading engineering service provider in the commercial vehicle sector for holistic electric vehicle concept creation up to serialization. The Proton Motor team is particularly proud of the “International busplaner Sustainability Award 2021” to the currently highly sought-after “HyRange®” system for range extension.
