Element 2, HRS deepen partnership with new hydrogen station in Scotland
HRS, the French hydrogen refueling station manufacturer, has announced the signing of a letter of intent with UK-based Element 2 for the exclusive supply of a mobile hydrogen station in Glasgow. This marks a renewed collaboration following the September 2024 order for a station at Teesside Airport.
The new deployment will feature HRS’s mobile HRS14 station, offering a 14kg/hour capacity. Designed for agility, the station can be dismantled, transported, and fully operational within ten days. It aims to support Scotland’s growing hydrogen mobility sector while bolstering efforts to reduce transport emissions.
Hassen Rachedi, founder and CEO of HRS, said:
This new mark of confidence from Element 2 is a testimony to the quality and reliability of our solutions in a demanding energy transition context,
“Following the order of our first station in Teesside, we are proud to once again support Element 2 in the rollout of hydrogen mobility in the UK, this time with an innovative mobile station in Glasgow.”
Element 2, founded in 2020, is leading the rollout of a nationwide hydrogen refueling network in the UK and Ireland. Its “50 in 5” initiative targets 50 stations over five years, focusing on commercial fleets and businesses moving toward zero-emission solutions.
This would be the fourth HRS station in the UK and supports the company’s broader international expansion. Scotland’s commitment to net zero by 2045, combined with its renewable energy potential and skilled workforce, continues to position the country as a frontrunner in the global hydrogen economy.
