The Eletrobras and its research center in Cepel Energy signed a memorandum of understanding with the German Siemens Energy aimed at joint studies to complete technological cycle of the domain of green hydrogen in Brazil.

The studies should cover everything from production to consumption of green hydrogen (H2) through a pilot plant that could be the target of future expansions and complementary activities, Eletrobras said in a press release this Thursday.
“Based on the results of the studies, the companies involved will be able to move towards the implementation of a commercial H2 production plant, which will produce hydrogen with a zero carbon footprint “, added the electric company.
