Experience Ricardo innovative fuel cell technology at TRACCS Rail Day 2024.

Ricardo is excited to announce they will be showcasing how their multi-stack hydrogen fuel cell technology can support rail decarbonisation at TRACCS Rail Day 2024.  

Visitors to the show, held between 18-20 June 2024 will be able to view how the cutting-edge multi-stack hydrogen fuel cell technology can support future decarbonisation across the rail industry via a virtual reality experience, as well as discover how Ricardo can support rail organisations navigate the industry’s operational, commercial or regulatory demands.

The technology has been designed and developed by Ricardo as part of the Sustainable Hydrogen Powered Shipping (sHYpS) project, for which the company is applying its world-leading expertise in the hydrogen value chain to implement innovative hydrogen technologies. Ricardo is the fuel cell system partner in the, which includes the specification, design, build and test of a ~500kW gross, 375kW net power fuel cell module. Ricardo have successfully deployed fuel cell technology in applications across aerospace, automotive, industrial, and marine sectors.

Ricardo expert Ben Faulkner will also take to the stage at 2.50pm, Tuesday 18 June, to do a deep dive on independent safety assurance. Ben will discuss what independent safety assurance is, why it is needed and how to plan for an assessment and work closely with your assessor.
