Finland: The national hydrogen cluster opens the doors to European networks.
A business-driven national hydrogen cluster has been set up to boost the hydrogen economy and exports of hydrogen-related solutions. Already 36 companies are involved in the hydrogen cluster. The aim now is to open doors to European networks, as Europe is planning to invest tens of billions in the hydrogen economy.
System-level change requires companies from different industries in industry. A diverse group of companies from the energy industry, the chemical industry, the forest industry and the technology industry are now involved. There are global companies, SMEs and start-ups. The national hydrogen cluster brings actors together and helps network in Finland, Europe and internationally.
The hydrogen cluster has first mapped hydrogen projects that are being prepared or recently started in Finland.
The projects are located extensively in various areas of the value chain, such as hydrogen production, increasing the industrial use of hydrogen, hydrogen transport and treatment processes, maritime logistics applications and the development, manufacture and commercialisation of equipment and technology for hydrogen treatment.
