Fortum and P2X Solutions sign sales agreement for green hydrogen

Fortum and P2X Solutions have signed a sales agreement for green hydrogen. P2X Solutions will purchase hydrogen from Fortum’s 2-MW Kalla test center and distribute it further to its customers.

This partnership aims to enhance green hydrogen logistics in Finland and support the transition to a low-carbon future. Fortum’s test center Kalla in Loviisa, Finland is expected to commence commercial operations in the first half of 2026.

Satu Sipola, Vice president, clean hydrogen at Fortum, says:

We are excited to partner with P2X Solutions to advance green hydrogen production,

“While hydrogen economy in Finland is still under development, it is important to collaborate and share expertise within the developing industry. This collaboration allows efficient hydrogen delivery from Kalla test facility.”

Herkko Plit, CEO of P2X Solutions, added:

As a forerunner in green hydrogen, P2X Solutions is well positioned to boost Finland’s hydrogen economy by developing hydrogen distribution also with other operators.

“This contract is an important milestone in our efforts to provide clean energy solutions. We look forward to cooperation with Fortum”.
