Gaia Future Energy and HyDeal, developer of one of Europe’s largest green hydrogen projects, announce the launch of HyDeal Africa, a partnership to deliver, transport and export green hydrogen at scale from Africa to Europe at the price equivalent to fossil fuels.
This partnership responds to the stated objective of the European Union to import 10 million tonnes of green hydrogen by 2030 under the RepowerEU programme.
HyDeal Africa is the first industry implementation outside of Europe of the #HyDeal Ambition platform, which in 2022 was ranked by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) as the world’s largest energy initiative. green hydrogen.
