Green Hysland wins European Hydrogen Valley of the Year – Nov 2023.
This year’s award was granted for the project’s outstanding efforts to develop integrated systems of hydrogen production, supply, storage and use in multiple sectors, alongside: Hydrogen Hub Noord-Holland, and WIVA P&G in Austria. Winners were announced last November 2023 in Brussels.
Victor Encinas Sanchez, Green Hysland coordinator – Enagas Renovable said:
Together we are shaping a sustainable future, harnessing the power of clean hydrogen to propel us towards a greener and more resilient Europe.
The project will be completed in 2025 and foresees a renewable hydrogen power plant situated in Lloseta, connected to two solar PV parks (14MWp); a pressure-reducing station designed to integrate hydrogen into the island’s gas grid; three fuel cell systems to fuel a municipal sport centre in Lloseta, the Iberostar Hotel, and the ferry terminal in Palma; a Hydrogen Refuelling Station (HRS) and 6 fuel-cell buses.
