14 July, Sunderland, UK – Haskel, a leader in gas compression technology with over 75 years of industry expertise, has launched a H-Drive System Module.
This cutting-edge hydrogen compression module is designed to seamlessly integrate into larger systems, offering an efficient and reliable solution in applications such as hydrogen refuelling stations, production plants, and various industrial applications.
The H-Drive System Module addresses the challenges faced by system integrators in building and maintaining high-performance compression systems. By simplifying the integration process, it allows system builders to incorporate advanced compression technology with reduced lead times while ensuring uncompromised performance and safety.

• Flexible Supply: Adaptable to various configurations with options for maximum pressures of 550 bar or 950 bar.
• Safety in Design: Certified under ATEX directive for EX II 3G IIC environments; features include pressure monitoring and overpressure protection.
• High Compression Ratios & Variable Inlet Pressures: Two-stage compressors accommodate inlet pressures up to 500 bar from diverse sources.
Product Configurations:
HSM X1 Series: Integrates hydraulic power within the module; available models provide up to 550 or 950 bar pressure capabilities—ideal for compact solutions requiring minimal integration work.
HSM X2 Series: Offers separate hydraulic power units allowing flexible installation aligned with specific system designs; supports similar pressure capabilities as X1 series.
The versatile modules are suitable for vehicle refuelling stations (350/700 bar), hydrogen storage solutions, tube trailer filling, and industrial processes like ammonia and methanol production where high-pressure hydrogen is essential.
