Hopium Presents Concept Hydrogen Luxury Car [video]

Pilot and entrepreneur Oliver Lombard is leading an ambitious high-end hydrogen sedan project. The first model of a new luxury car manufacturer, Hopium, the Machina will be presented in 2021 in the form of a first prototype before being produced in series, in France, from 2026.

In recent days the company has introduced its vision concept hydrogen platform.

It terms of permormance, Hopium, the automotive division of the Hydrogen Motive Company (HMC), promises a sedan with a power equivalent to 500 hp, hyper-connected and above all very enduring with an estimated range of 1000 km.

✔️ Hydrogen refueling is done in abput 3 minutes.

The fuel cell is compact and placed at the front is supplied with hydrogen from three hydrogen tanks, two one on top of the other between the passengers of the car, the third smaller, at the rear of the car is in the back.

The racing car will offer a neutral carbon footprint and aims to become the world benchmark fot hydrogen sedans, a segment that is still less exploited.

✔️A first prototype of the Hopium Machine is expected in June 2021.

At the origin of the project, Oliver Lombard is a racing driver who since 2013 has been testing hydrogen competition cars from the Swiss laboratory GreenGT. He also aims to compete in the great classic Le Mans aboard a hydrogen vehicle by 2024.
