Hydrogen – CaetanoBus delivers the first H2City Gold buses toFinland and showcases them during WRC week
CaetanoBus continues to guide the transition to zero-emission mobility through hydrogen mobility with the delivered of its first electric hydrogen-powered buses to Finland, marking a new chapter in the company’s international expansion across Europe. To celebrate the introduction of the first electric hydrogen-powered buses to Finland and highlight its performance in real-world conditions, the H2.City Gold units were showcased during WRC Finland week in Jyväskylä.
CaetanoBus, which already has more than 215 electric hydrogen-powered buses sold in Europe, has now seen another European country adopt hydrogen mobility and chosen CaetanoBus to supply the first hydrogen buses to the country. The H2.City Gold units will operate in Jyväskylä as part of a broader pilot led by the Central Finland Mobility Foundation (Cefmof). The project aims to integrate 5 Caetano electric hydrogen-powered buses into the region’s public transport and were delivered via Cefmof and leased to Koiviston Auto Jyväskylä.
As part of the introduction of the first electric hydrogen-powered buses to Finland, the five H2.City Gold units were showcased during WRC Finland week in Jyväskylä. The buses operated on selected routes — including the rally service park and the roads surrounding the race stages — in order to test the vehicles under real operating conditions. The demonstrations offered an ideal opportunity to observe overall quality of the buses, passenger comfort, and the performance of the hydrogen system.
