Hydrogen Fuel Cell – Honda Shows Off Zero-Emissions Power Tech at ACT Expo 2026
- Honda ‘Mobile Power Pack e:’ available for U.S. market B2B product integrations in June
- Honda hydrogen fuel cell, clean energy and Fastport eQuad experts available to discuss business opportunities
Today, Honda returns to the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo with a display of zero-emissions power technology and clean energy experts to explore U.S. business opportunities. On display and new for the U.S. market, Honda will begin offering the ‘Honda Mobile Power Pack e:‘ for B2B commercial product integrations starting next month.
Honda continues to seek new business collaborations as the company expands its zero-emissions energy solutions business to achieve its global goal of zero environmental impact, including carbon neutrality for all products and corporate activities by 2050.
Joe Juliano, Business Unit Lead of Sustainability & Business Development at American Honda Motor Co., Inc, said,
ACT Expo is a great place to explore the latest clean energy tech, and we’re excited to meet potential new business partners this week,
“With decades of electrification and hydrogen power experience, Honda is a natural collaborator for companies seeking to develop zero-emissions products and energy solutions.”
Honda Mobile Power Pack e:
Toward the realization of carbon neutrality, the use of electric mobility products is becoming widespread. Anticipating such a trend, Honda created the Honda Mobile Power Pack e: (MPP), an easy-to-use swappable battery pack, to address the key issues facing electric mobility products, namely the long charging time, inadequate range and high battery cost.
By leveraging its unique characteristics of being portable and swappable, the MPP can be used not only for Honda products but for a wide range of applications including electric products of other OEMs. The MPP is being introduced for potential product integration with collaborative partners.
Honda Hydrogen Fuel Cell (FC) Energy Solutions
- Honda Current-Generation Fuel Cell Module: The module features the current Honda FC system, co-developed by Honda and GM. It advanced performance and doubled durability while reducing cost by two-thirds compared to the previous generation1 system.
- Honda Next Generation Fuel Cell Module:Honda is developing its next generation FC module. The new module is expected to reduce production cost by half, double durability and triple volumetric power density compared to the current FC module.
- Honda Fuel Cell Power Generator: (Digital Display) The Honda Fuel Cell Power Generator is a stationary power system capable of supplying hydrogen-derived, clean electricity to large facilities such as factories, data centers and offices. It utilizes combined Honda FC modules, able to scale from 250 kW to 3 MW of electric power supply per generator.
Fastport eQuad (Digital Display)
The Fastport eQuad is a single-rider micromobility delivery vehicle that supplements the rider’s pedaling power with electric motor assistance. The Fastport eQuad delivers a powerful, smooth, quiet, zero-emission ride by combining a pedal-by-wire system that electronically transmits the rider’s pedaling input into motion with a pedal-assist powertrain, boosting the rider’s pedaling with electric power. Honda designed the Fastport eQuad as a micromobility vehicle for use in bicycle lanes2, enabling companies to improve the speed and efficiency of logistics in urban areas with complex traffic environments and heavy traffic congestion. Combined with its Fleet-as-a-Service platform, Fastport helps commercial customers increase efficiency, speed and reliability. Last month, Fastport announced a new customer partnership with Bird and Spin to support their field operations across select university campuses and in major metropolitan markets, showcasing Fastport’s ability to serve a wide range of urban fleet applications, from parcel and grocery delivery to food service, gig distribution, and municipal, corporate, and campus operations.
