Hydrogen – NTT Japan And Jepico Deploy Pilot Gencell Box.
We are happy to report that the GenCell BOX unit deployed at the NTT-AT testing site in Tokushima, Japan has been activated remotely in accordance with GenCell’s instructions.
Now we are running remote DRY tests so that when our technicians arrive on-site, they will have already completed extensive testing and can instead devote more time to training local support.
NTT-AT, a group company of NTT, the largest telecommunications company in Japan, decided to purchase a unit for experimenting with site backup. Over the past months the site was set up with remote guidance from GenCell and with NTT-AT system integration partner Jepico, who decided on the basis of the NTT-AT project to purchase another BOX unit to deploy and demonstrate to its customers.
The testing will continue to enable a full performance evaluation. The unit has been connected remotely to GenCell’s enhanced intelligent IoT edge monitoring software, allowing the team at GenCell headquarters to also track the equipment’s performance and functionality.
At the end of the week, NTT-AT executives and members of the BoD toured the site to see the system in operation.
GenCell is especially proud to see this progress in Japan, a country that has a strong commitment to developing a zero-emission hydrogen economy which contributes to our vision of GreenFSG – a clean energy future in which zero-emission long-duration power can be generated and consumed anywhere.
