Hydrogen of renewable origin to power hydrogen generators during the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024.

As the Official Hydrogen Supporter of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024, Air Liquide will supply hydrogen of renewable origin to power five electro-hydrogen generators at the competition venues in Versailles and Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines.

In line with the environmental ambition of the event, Air Liquide and the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 have extended their agreement on hydrogen fuelling for the event to also cover the needs associated with the electro-hydrogen generators that are installed at the Versailles and Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines competition venues. As with the vehicles in the official fleet, the hydrogen supplied will be of renewable origin, i.e. produced from water electrolysis or biomethane with guarantees of origin.

Supplied by Loxam and GL events, respectively Official Supporter and Official Partner of Paris 2024, these generators will be used to increase local electrical capacity to enable operation of the cell phone network antennas during the equestrian, modern pentathlon and golf events taking place at these venues.
