Hydrogen UK launches the Young Hydrogen Professional Network
Hydrogen UK is pleased to announce the launch of its latest initiative, ‘The Young Hydrogen Professional Network,’ unveiled at the Annual Conference and Awards held in Birmingham this week. This exciting new network is designed to empower and connect hydrogen professionals under the age of 35, offering them a platform to engage with industry leaders and access valuable resources.
Membership to the network is free and provides a range of benefits, including access to Hydrogen UK’s monthly newsletters, industry reports, and invitations to exclusive membership briefings covering topics across the hydrogen value chain. Additionally, members will enjoy a 30% discount on conference attendance fees, making it easier for young professionals to participate in these pivotal industry events.
In a highlight of the conference, Megan Backhouse, Senior Project Engineer at BOC, was announced as the first chair of the Young Hydrogen Professional Network. Megan, who was also the recipient of the prestigious ‘Future Hydrogen Leader Award,’ has been recognised for her outstanding contributions to hydrogen fuel switching trials, her dedication to STEM education, and her commitment to advancing hydrogen safety standards.
