Hydrogen Ukraine Participated in the EU Renewable Energy Workshop.
CEO of Hydrogen Ukraine Iaroslav Kryl, actively participated in the “Renewable Energy Projects with Regional Impact” workshop on April 11, 2024. This important event aimed at identifying and promoting renewable energy projects that can significantly influence the regional energy landscape in the frame of Central and South Eastern Europe Energy Connectivity (CESEC). The workshop highlighted the H2U projects, which were featured in the session dedicated to mapping key initiatives in renewable energy.
Amidst the discussions, Iaroslav Kryl had the opportunity to voice the specific challenges faced by hydrogen energy projects during wartime. His participation emphasizes the pivotal role that Ukraine is playing in regional renewable energy development, even in the face of russian invasion.
The platform provided by the workshop allowed us to underline the importance of sustaining momentum in renewable energy projects and cross-border cooperation for the continued pursuit of energy security and sustainability.

The workshop was organized by the Directorate-General for Energy of the European Commission (DG ENER), which is at the forefront of EU policy and strategy on energy matters. Contributing to the extensive preparatory work and research, a collaboration of specialized entities – 3E, a consulting company with a focus on renewable energy and sustainability; Th!nk E, known for their expertise in energy innovation; and EY (Ernst & Young), a leader in advisory services – played instrumental roles.
