Hyundai Rotem-led consortium to build green hydrogen tram in Egypt new capital.
South Korea’s Hyundai Rotem has signed on Monday in consortium with Orascom Construction and France’s Colas Rail a memorandum of understanding to build a green hydrogen-powered tram in Egypt’s new capital.
The consortium plans to submit a study on the tram project to the Egyptian ministry of transport for approvals within the first half of the current year, Fady Saba, assistant project manager at Hyundai Rotem Company, told Amwal Al Ghad.
The project was first discussed during South Korean President Moon Jae-in’s visit to Egypt last week when he offered using green hydrogen in carrying out transport and energy projects in the North African country, Saba added. Thanks for staying up to date with Hydrogen Central.
