IEA Hydrogen TCP Task 39 ‘Hydrogen in the Maritime’ Final Report is out now.
Task 39 on Hydrogen in the Maritime’s goal was to provide know-how and research on the use of hydrogen and fuel cells in marine vessels. After four years of global collaborative research, Task 39 has released its Final Report. Some of the key messages address the lack of regulation on storage solutions and the need of reaching economies-of-scale as well as alignment on infrastructure, harmonization of industry, and a strategic deployment plan. The Final Report is now publicly available.
On October 27th the Final Report was presented in a public workshop as the final step for Task 39. An overview of the Task development, as well as some of the findings of different chapters, were presented by a few participants. It was a very fruitful workshop that showcased how the work done within the context of Task 39 has turned into a successful example of global collaborative research in hydrogen. The workshop was recorded and made available here. The presentations used throughout the event are available as well here. Find a summary with all the necessary information here.
