Igrene wants to build hydrogen and carbon extraction plant – applies for environmental permit

The gas exploration company Igrene, in collaboration with SEID, is applying to the Dalarna County Administrative Board for an environmental permit for the construction and operation of a demonstration plant for the extraction of hydrogen and carbon. This is stated in a press release.

In June, Igrene and SEID applied for a financial contribution from the European Commission for the next step in the development of Coldspark technology, which involves cold pyrolysis of methane to hydrogen and carbon. The process is carbon-free. The next step is to build and operate a demonstration plant in Mora, using biogenic methane from the Siljan Ring as feedstock.

Igrene, says:
