LAVO ™ and Duxton Vineyards to collaborate on hydrogen-storage solutions for “Negative Carbon” winery.

LAVO (the Company), an Australian technology and lifestyle company powered by hydrogen, and Duxton Vineyards Group (DV), a large scale, vertically integrated wine enterprise, announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the use of LAVO hydrogen storage solutions to assist DV achieve its Net Zero Emissions and sustainability objectives.

Founded in 2015, DV is a private vineyard operator located in the Mildura & Sunraysia region of New South Wales, Australia. DV caters to investors seeking an opportunity to invest in a large aggregation of Australian vineyards. DV owns and operates over 2,400 hectares of vineyards in this area, as well as a large-scale winery.

With sustainability central to its overall strategic business objectives, DV aims to achieve Net Zero Carbon by 2030 and maintain a carbon negative agricultural asset portfolio thereafter. With a shared commitment to making a positive impact through long-term sustainable solutions for the community, home and person, LAVO is well-positioned to partner with DV.

Under the MoU, LAVO and DV will collaborate on a pilot project which will utilise LAVO’s cornerstone product, the LAVO System, across DV’s vineyards and winery assets. The overarching aim of the pilot will be to determine how LAVO can work within and support DV’s ecosystem vision for a “negative carbon” winery on a long-term basis.

Following the pilot, LAVO and DV will work together to develop and implement a strategy for the expanded application of LAVO’s hydrogen storage solutions across DV’s operations.

This includes exploring commercial and practical means of utilising LAVO’s hydrogen storage solutions to enhance DV’s Vineyard and Winery Energy Management “Negative Carbon” Plan, and further applications across its agricultural asset portfolio.

Reliable, affordable and sustainable power generation and supply is one of the biggest challenges facing governments, businesses and individuals.

The versatility of LAVO’s innovative hydride technology; its overarching commitment to long-term sustainable solutions; and its critical role in enabling Australia’s shift to a greener future allows it to support DV in meeting its overarching sustainability objectives and achieve its Net Zero Carbon by 2030 target.
