Linde joins the H2Accelerate collaboration as a seventh member to accelerate the deployment of green hydrogen for trucking.

From its early work with hydrogen for mobility in the 1970’s Linde has made continued investments to develop the infrastructure and the technology that will enable a hydrogen-powered mobility sector.

The company has installed approximately 200 hydrogen refueling stations worldwide, with more to come. Linde is part of 20+ industry and government sponsored organizations around the world that are focused on accelerating the transition to clean energy, with hydrogen at its core.

David Burns, VP Clean Energy Development.

We have been in the hydrogen business for a long time and are committed to helping the world reach its climate targets by contributing with our knowledge, expertise and infrastructure to the development of the hydrogen economy.

“The task ahead of us is large and complex, as it is the environmental challenge that we currently face. The world needs to work together if it wants to come up with a timely solution to tackle climate change.”

“Trucking is one of the sectors that can substantially reduce its emissions if switching from diesel to clean hydrogen. We are very glad to be part of the H2Accelerate collaboration to facilitate and drive that switch.”

Ben Madden, spokesperson for the H2Accelerate collaboration, said of Linde joining the group:

Linde’s knowledge and experience in developing hydrogen production and refuelling facilities adds to an already impressive set of hydrogen fuel providers within the H2Accelerate collaboration.

“With joint efforts from truck OEMs and hydrogen refuelling players, the H2Accelerate collaboration will allow the hydrogen trucking sector to reach mass market scale on the timelines required to achieve ambitious climate objectives.”

“The addition of Linde’s expertise and commitment to the collaboration will increase the speed at which a European hydrogen refuelling network that is truly capable of serving end user needs can be rolled out. We are excited to be working with Linde to achieve this goal.”
