LMG Marin: World’s first hydrogen-powered ferry delivered to Norwegian owner Norled.
[Manifold Times] Engineering and design services provider LMG Marin AS said the world’s first hydrogen powered vessel Hydra has been delivered by shipyard Westcon Group to ferry operator NorledHydra is a double ended ferry intended for operation at the Hjelmeland-Nesvik-Ombo connection in Norway.
LMG Marin in a social media post said:
She [Hydra has] joined her near sister Nesvik on the triangular route between Hjelmeland-Skipavik-Nesvik.

“Meanwhile she [Hydra] is ready to sail on liquid hydrogen this will only happen when supply is available, hopefully in a few months.”
