Management change at Thyssengas – Dr Stefanie Kesting takes over as Chairman of the Management Board from Dr Thomas Gößmann
At the turn of the year, Dr Stefanie Kesting will become CEO of Thyssengas. She succeeds Dr Thomas Gößmann, who is leaving the company after nine years and retiring.
Energy manager Dr Stefanie Kesting (48) will become Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Thyssengas on 1 January 2026. As a well-known leader in the energy sector, Kesting has in-depth knowledge and proven experience not only in the natural gas and electricity industry, but also in projects along the value chains of gases that will also be increasingly transported in the future as part of the energy transformation: hydrogen, biomethane andCO2.

Dr Stefanie Kesting on her appointment as CEO of Thyssengas, said:

Kesting is taking over from Dr Thomas Gößmann (64), who is retiring from Thyssengas after around nine years.

After many intensive and challenging years at Thyssengas, I look back on this time with great gratitude.
“I was able to lead the company during a phase in which the regulated transmission system operation underwent major changes. I am particularly proud of the fact that we as an industry took responsibility for hydrogen at an early stage and launched the hydrogen core network. I wish my successor all the best in continuing to shape this transformation,”
