Methanol Reformer signs contract with PowerCell to supply hydrogen generation technology for the DLR Fuel-to-Power project
Methanol Reformer has signed a contract with PowerCell to supply two methanol reformers and a mixing station for integration into a Fuel-to-Power system for the German Aerospace Center (DLR).
Methanol Reformer’s hydrogen generation technology will be integrated by PowerCell into a complete Fuel-to-Power system combining methanol reforming with PEM fuel cell systems. The system will also include hydrogen buffer storage and integrated system controls.
The system will enable DLR to test different operational profiles, from steady-state operation to dynamic load cycles. The resulting operational knowledge will support the further development and deployment of integrated fuel cell systems across a range of applications.
The order highlights the competitiveness of Methanol Reformer’s hydrogen generation technology and the company’s ability to respond efficiently to customer requirements and execute projects within demanding timelines.
The project involves PowerCell Group, led by CEO Richard Berkling, and DLR, represented by Sören Ehlers, with Methanol Reformer, led by Managing Director Javier Torres, supplying the methanol-to-hydrogen technology integrated into the Fuel-to-Power system.
Javier Torres, Managing Director of Methanol Reformer, says,
We are pleased to have signed this contract with PowerCell for the DLR Fuel-to-Power project.
”This project is an important step for Methanol Reformer and further demonstrates the competitiveness of our methanol-to-hydrogen technology and our ability to respond effectively to customer requirements.”
The project marks a further step in the commercial deployment of Methanol Reformer’s methanol-to-hydrogen technology and its integration into complete Fuel-to-Power systems.
