Sydney, 3 October 2024: Australian clean energy company Pure Hydrogen Corporation Limited (ASX: PH2 or ‘Pure Hydrogen’) is pleased to announce that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ETHERO Truck + Energy (ETHERO), an established dealer of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric (FCEV) and Battery Electric (BEV) vehicles in the US market.

The MOU sets out a distribution framework for Pure Hydrogen to sell its fleet of FCEV and BEV vehicles to US customers, with a particular focus on its 6×4 Refuse Trucks and 4×2 Box Trucks.

Headquartered in Mechanicsville, Virginia, ETHERO is a multi-brand commercial electric truck dealer and charging infrastructure solutions partner. ETHERO provides wrap-around sales and energy services for fleets in the trucking industry’s transition to zero emissions. ETHERO specialises in the distribution of battery-electric (BEV) and fuel cell electric (FCEV) medium and heavy-duty trucks for the Mid-Atlantic and Northern California regions of the US market, along with a specialty vehicles service for electric terminal tractors.

In accordance with the MOU, Pure Hydrogen expects to begin supplying its FCEV and BEV vehicles commencing in CY2025 subject to ETHERO being satisfied with its due diligence on the vehicles, the equipment being compliant for operation in America and definitive agreements between the parties being agreed upon prior.

Along with multiple hydrogen vehicle sales domestically last quarter, Pure is expanding its distribution footprint in response to the continued interest in hydrogen not only in Australia, but across international markets. The US is a significant and strategic market for the deployment of Pure’s innovative clean energy solutions and the partnership with ETHERO further validates the Company’s strategy to grow the potential addressable market for its leading suite of BE and FCE vehicles.

The MOU with ETHERO follows the announcement of a purchase order with Nutcher Hydrogen, a California- based dealership specialising in supplying sustainable heavy fleet, machinery and equipment to heavy transport customers in North America (refer ASX Announcement 30 November 2023).

More recently, Pure secured an MOU with Riverview International Trucks, an established full-service heavy-duty truck dealership in Northern California, to negotiate the distribution and supply of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric and Battery Electric Trucks into the California market.
