NanoSUN to present Pioneer Hydrogen Refuelling Station Project at Madrid in Motion.
In the mission to increase the use of hydrogen as a fuel, NanoSUN attended Madrid in Motion’s open call to present its innovative mobile Pioneer Hydrogen Refuelling Station and it’s low-cost solution to building an effective hydrogen fuel infrastructure.
An initiative designed to generate collaborative and innovative solutions to mobility challenges within the city, Madrid in Motion is a hub that brings together organisations, startups and institutions to design and co-create solutions that focus on improving the lives of citizens within Madrid.
Naturgy, a Spanish multinational energy group looking to improve hydrogen efficiency, reduce costs and improve user safety, recently selected NanoSUN to participate in the 3rd edition of Madrid in Motion, which was virtually hosted this afternoon – 26th May 2021.

Chosen to propose and promote its mobile Pioneer Hydrogen Refuelling Station, with the opportunity to develop a proof of concept in collaboration with Naturgy, NanoSUN used the virtual platform to introduce its team of engineering experts behind the Pioneer Project and highlight the combined functionality of the Pioneer’s fully mobile, self-contained and automated hydrogen-refuelling station.
Specifically designed to deliver transportation grade fuel to the point of use, where it can be directly dispensed into hydrogen powered vehicles efficiently, safely and fast, NanoSUN proposed how the Pioneer provides a reliable solution to facilitating the low-cost production and rapid distribution of hydrogen fuel within the transportation industry.
As NanoSUN’s vision for hydrogen to become the major energy vector in a decarbonised world closely coincides with Naturgy’s aim to create value through energy transition by focusing on renewable energy, NanoSUN look forward to the outcome of Madrid in Motion’s selection day and readily await the possibility of a partnership that will ultimately accelerate the adoption of hydrogen as a leading fuel source.
