Netherlands – King visits hydrogen cluster in Arnhem.
His Majesty the King will pay a working visit to the hydrogen cluster at The Kleefse Waard Industrial Park (IPKW) in Arnhem. During the visit, the hydrogen manufacturing industry is the main focus.
Hydrogen technologies contribute to achieving climate ambitions and energy independence, but also to the realisation of green employment.
In Arnhem there is a large hydrogen technology cluster where long-term work is being done on the development and production of fuel cells, electro-chemical compressors, hydrogen production technologies, fuel cell engines and flow batteries.
The King’s visit starts at fuel cell manufacturer Nedstack. After that, HyET Hydrogen, supplier of hydrogen compressors, hydrogen pioneer HyGear and energy storage expert Elestor are visited by hydrogen bus. The visit ends at the company Hymove, where mobile fuel cell systems are manufactured.
Finally, King Willem-Alexander speaks here with various representatives of companies from the hydrogen manufacturing industry about the opportunities and risks of growth and the challenges of the hydrogen technology ecosystem.
During the conversation, the public-private partnership Connectr – Energy innovation, a public-private partnership to accelerate the energy transition, will also be discussed.
