Nilsson Energy constructs hydrogen filling station in Nykvarn.
Nilsson Energy begins construction of a new hydrogen filling station along the E20, at the exit to Nykvarn. The hydrogen filling station is expected to be commissioned in the summer of 2024 and will solely offering green hydrogen.
Nykvarn, an attractive growth municipality east of Södertälje and a key hub for heavy transport, now has the opportunity to mitigate the environmental impact through this infrastructure investment.

In addition to Nykvarn, Nilsson Energy also establish a hydrogen filling station at Port 6 in the Port of Gothenburg, one of Sweden’s most truck-intensive locations. The company also established Sweden’s first public hydrogen filling station in Mariestad in 2018.
Malin Ehrle, Head of Projects at Nilsson Energy, has been involved in the project since the beginning of 2022 and is the main responsible project manager for the establishment of both hydrogen filling stations.
She states, ‘It feels good that we now are getting started with the groundwork in Nykvarn, which is expected to be ready at the beginning of June. When the groundwork is complete, installation and commissioning of all equipment begins. If everything goes as planned, the first customer will be able to fill up with hydrogen later this summer,’ concludes Malin Ehrle.”
