Panasonic Introduces Upcoming Hydrogen Fuel Cell Based Energy Solution in Germany for CO₂-Neutral Offices
NEW DELHI: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has welcomed Prof. Eric A. Davidson, a Fulbright-Nehru Distinguished Scholar, to its Centre for Sustainable Nitrogen and Nutrient Management. Prof. Davidson, a faculty member at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Sciences, will be conducting research on sustainable nitrogen management and exploring India’s green ammonia and hydrogen technologies.
Prof. Davidson’s research will focus on the challenges and opportunities surrounding nitrogen management in South Asia. He will also examine India’s evolving policies related to green ammonia and hydrogen as part of the country’s sustainability efforts. Throughout his tenure, he will engage with faculty and students, giving lectures and conducting seminars on the subject.
Prof. Mahesh Verma, Vice Chancellor of GGSIPU, expressed the university’s pride in hosting Prof. Davidson. He highlighted that the scholar’s work will provide valuable insights for students, research scholars, and faculty alike, further enhancing the university’s academic environment.
Prof. Davidson commented on India’s proactive stance on nitrogen management, noting that the country is already a leader in this field, with a clear action plan and significant government funding to address nitrogen-related challenges.
Prof. Nandula Raghuram, Head of the Centre for Sustainable Nitrogen and Nutrient Management, emphasized Prof. Davidson’s extensive expertise in sustainable nitrogen practices. Davidson has previously served as a science advisor to the U.S. Department of State and held leadership roles at the University of Maryland and the Woods Hole Research Center. He has authored over 400 scholarly publications, including the books Science for a Green New Deal and You Can’t Eat GNP.
