Protium – Celebrating one year of producing green hydrogen.
We recently gathered partners, stakeholders and customers together in South Wales to celebrate the anniversary of our first operational hydrogen production facility. The video below captured the day – and the rain well!
Pioneer One, located at the University of South Wales’ (USW) Hydrogen site in Port Talbot, has been powering fleet and transport trials in South Wales and across the UK, as well as a variety of customer projects including for off-grid power generation and static power applications.
This milestone is particularly significant as Protium is one of only a handful of UK companies operating commercial green hydrogen production facilities – providing valuable experience for Protium and players across the value chain – from production equipment OEMs to end users.
And the anniversary provided an opportunity to bring together this value chain for an anniversary event that included a tour of the site, a hydrogen vehicle and refueller showcase , and the opportunity to share learnings and opportunities for the future.
