Proton Motor Power Systems PLC said that it has received another order from GKN Hydrogen for an undisclosed amount.
The AIM-listed producer of fuel cells and fuel-cell electric hybrid systems said it will deliver eight additional PM Module fuel cell systems–designed for the autonomous provision of energy and heat–in the first quarter of 2022.
The board said it expects to receive further orders from GKN as it continues to deploy Proton’s technology in is integrated HY2 energy storage systems. The uses of these systems include plug-in electric car charging stations and IT back-up systems, the company said.
GKN Hydrogen is part of aerospace, automotive and powder metallurgy business GKN, which is controlled by Melrose Industries PLC.
