The topic was how Chinese hydrogen can supply 10,000 households with green energy of the future and thus contribute to decarbonization.
Xu Chunming, academician and CAS member, Peng Suping, academician and CAE member, and Mao Zongqiang, vice chairman of the International Hydrogen Energy Association, delivered keynote speeches in video posts, and Li Lanxiang, deputy secretary of the Weifang Municipal Party Committee, also delivered one Speech.
At the forum, Xu Chunming, Peng Suping, Mao Zongqiang and other leading experts and scholars in the field of hydrogen energy held in-depth exchanges on the development of green hydrogen technology, innovation in fuel cell technology, international market research on hydrogen energy and other topics against the background of the ” Dual Carbon Strategy”.

They also carried out a scientific analysis on production, storage, transportation, processing, utilization and future market prospects of green hydrogen energy and offered viable solution proposals.
Li Lanxiang said in his speech that hydrogen energy as a bridge between fossil and renewable energy has become a trend-setter in the energy transition. Weifang is an important city in Shandong Province’s planning for a “Shandong Hydrogen Economic Belt”, which has rich hydrogen energy resources and outstanding development advantages.

The summit forum was held together with the 2nd World Green Hydrogen Industry Development Conference and the 1st China Hydrogen Industry Conference ( Shandong ), and two special forums were held: one, the forum “Green Electricity and Green Hydrogen as a Necessary Path towards CO₂ -Neutrality” and on the other hand “Hydrogen in thousands of households – a realistic plan for hydrogen production”.
