Serbia, UAE to cooperate in hydrogen, other renewable energy projects.
The governments of Serbia and the UAE agreed to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation in the development of hydrogen and other renewable energy sources, the Serbian government said.
Under the document, the two countries will cooperate in the exchange of technical know-how, the Serbian government said in a press release.
UAE-based companies active in renewable energy are already operating in Serbia, energy minister Dubravka Djedovic said, adding that the construction of the 150 MW Cibuk 2 wind farm will begin this year.

In 2019, Serbian company Vetroelektrane Balkana (WBEG), a joint venture of UAE-based Masdar, Taaleri Energia and German development finance institution DEG, launched the 158 MW Cibuk 1 wind farm in northern Serbia, The 300 million euro ($324 million) wind farm can power a total of 113,000 households.
