SK Innovation Provides 20 Hydrogen Buses for APEC CEO Summit
Hydrogen shuttles connect global participants with summit venue, highlighting SK’s eco-friendly mobility solutions
SK Innovation announced on the 28th that it will support 20 hydrogen shuttle buses for the ‘APEC CEO Summit (Summit) 2025’ event, taking place from the 28th to the 31st at the Gyeongju Seoul Arts Center.
The hydrogen buses supported by SK Innovation will operate between regions such as Busan, Pohang, and Gyeongju, where global participants are staying, and the Gyeongju Seoul Arts Center, where the CEO Summit is held. The exterior of the buses will feature advertisements for the APEC CEO Summit to promote the event.
The APEC CEO Summit is an annual business forum held as part of the APEC Leaders’ Meeting. Over 1,000 global corporate CEOs, academic experts, and government representatives are expected to attend. SK Innovation, which has been focusing on liquefied hydrogen production and charging businesses—including the completion of an Incheon liquefied hydrogen plant in May of last year—aims to showcase its capabilities through the hydrogen bus support.
SK Innovation will also host the ‘Asia Pacific LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) Connect’ session on the 31st. The session, attended by Choi Jae-won, SK Group Senior Vice Chairman, and Chu Hyung-wook, CEO of SK Innovation, will outline the vision for global LNG business.
