Sydrogen Energy and Pyxis Maritime partner for hydrogen fuel cells.
Pyxis and Sydrogen Energy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly deliver a Proof of Concept (PoC) study on the deployment of hydrogen fuel cell solutions.
The maritime electrification technology start-up, Pyxis, will collaborate with the fuel cell components manufacturer, Sydrogen Energy, to accelerate the decarbonisation of the maritime sector and further explore hydrogen fuel cells for broader maritime applications until 2025.
Under the MoU, the two companies will develop solutions for the maritime harbour craft ecosystem from shore to sea, aiming to achieve Singapore’s electrification goals and become Net Zero.

Acknowledging the significant challenges that coastal vessel owners and operators face in the transition towards an electric fleet, our goal is to ease and boost adoption by achieving mass commercialisation of electrification technologies.
“Our strategic partnership with Sydrogen Energy brings together two homegrown companies to lead the charge in positioning Singapore at the forefront of maritime decarbonisation in the region.”
Outlined in the Singapore National Hydrogen Strategy last year (2022), by the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), the plan was to accelerate the transition to Net Zero with hydrogen as the key pathway.
