The Port of Tarragona participates in the World Hydrogen Congress in Copenhagen in Denmark

The Port of Tarragona has been present at the World Hydrogen Congress in Copenhagen (Denmark), in a round table with the ports of Antwerp/Bruges(Belgium) and Singapore, and the consultancy Lloyd’s Register, it reports ina statement on Monday.
The meeting brought together more than 3,500 experts and profession alsto discuss the inclusion of hydrogen as an energy vector in order to reduced ependence on fossil fuels.
Specifically, the Tarragona enclave has participated in a round table entitled
Unlocking the potential of hydrogen and multi-fuels for the global portimport and export ecosystem
The topics discussed include the new role of ports as multimodal hubs for the exchange of goods and the need to strengthen collaboration to ensure a correct energy transition.
The Port has also outlined the “great opportunity and need” to be connected to the new hydrogen distribution network and the first phase of the Vall de l’Hidrogen, which consists of a confined local distribution network between companies in the Chem Med cluster.
