The Dutch consortium Transhydrogen Alliance, made up of the companies Proton Ventures, Trammo, Global Energy Storage and VARO, will invest 2,000 million dollars to produce green hydrogen in the Brazilian state of Ceará (northeast ), as reported by the regional government.
In a statement, the administration indicated that the governor, Camilo Santana, and the president of Transhydrogen Alliance and Proton Ventures, Hans Vrijenhoef, signed the agreement this Wednesday in the port of Rotterdam and with the goal of reaching an annual production of 500,000 tons of green hydrogen.

Each one of the companies (of the consortium) has experience in a certain area (production, logistics, storage and transportation) and from now on the study phases for the implementation of the project will begin.
Vrijenhoef, for his part, stressed that “this is a very important phase in the matter of placing green energy solutions for the entire world.”
According to the Government of Ceará, the companies of the Dutch consortium will act in the Pecem Port Complex, one of the main in the country and whose shareholder is Rotterdam, located in the municipality of Sao Gonçalo de Amarante, in the metropolitan region from Fortaleza, the regional capital.
The agreement was the eleventh signed between the Government of Ceará and companies from Portugal, France, Spain, Australia and Brazil to produce green hydrogen.
