World premiere for the Mercedes-Benz eCitaro fuel cell.
At the Global Public Transport Summit (GPTS) 2023 from June 4 to 7, 2023 in Barcelona, Daimler Buses is presenting the first series-produced electric bus with a fuel cell as a range extender: the Mercedes-Benz eCitaro fuel cell. The new emission-free city bus combines an enormous range with high passenger capacity.
In the articulated train variant available from June, the eCitaro fuel cell can travel around 350 kilometers without recharging and offers space for up to 128 passengers. The eCitaro fuel cell can thus seamlessly replace city buses with combustion engines.
At the same time, it is the ideal supplement for transport companies with an existing battery-electric vehicle fleet that want to cover their long routes without recharging and without additional buses.
